Lorne Polger

Lorne Polger, Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder. Prior to co-founding the company, Lorne practiced commercial real estate law for 20 years, and is the former head of the Real Estate Department at the regional law firm, Procopio. Lorne’s expertise is in multifamily housing. He actively participated in over $6 billion of multi-family transactions and over $7 billion of investment real estate transactions in his career. He graduated with a B.A., Cum Laude, from Colorado College, and earned his law degree from UCLA. Lorne is active in the San Diego community. He currently serves as a National Commissioner of the Anti-Defamation League and on the Residential Committee at the Burnham-Moores Center for Real Estate at the University of San Diego. He has served on the boards of the San Diego Chapter of CCIM and the NCCJ.

Mitch Siegler

Mitch Siegler

Mitch Siegler, Senior Managing Director and Co-Founder. From 1992 until co-founding Pathfinder in 2006, Mr. Siegler founded and served as CEO of several businesses. He has extensive experience in management, corporate finance, marketing and operations. Mr. Siegler previously spent five years as a partner with Sorrento Associates, Inc., a boutique investment banking firm and Sorrento Ventures, a venture capital firm. He concluded more than 40 mergers, acquisitions or financings with private and publicly-traded companies and was involved in numerous workouts and restructurings. He also participated in scores of private financings totaling more than $1 billion. During his career, he also spent several years as a partner with a national management consulting firm and five years as a finance and operations executive with Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration, with honors, majoring in Finance and Economics from the University of Missouri, Columbia and an MBA, with the highest honors, from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University. Mr. Siegler speaks frequently at real estate conferences, writes regularly for national real estate and finance publications and is widely quoted in the news media.

Scot Eisendrath

Scot Eisendrath

Scot Eisendrath, Managing Director, Capital Markets, oversees Pathfinder’s relationships with capital partners and oversees Pathfinder’s analytics and financial analysis. During his tenure with various national commercial brokerage firms, he has specialized in providing financial advisory and capital market services to real estate investors, developers and lenders for multi-family, industrial, office, retail, hospitality and land projects. Scot has participated in the acquisition, disposition, development, asset management and/or financing of more than $8 billion of real estate assets, including 26,000 multi-family units and 17 million square feet of commercial space. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a B.A in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and an M.B.A., with emphasis in Finance, from San Diego State University.

Brent Rivard

Brent Rivard

Brent Rivard, Managing Director, CFO and COO, is responsible for Pathfinder’s financial, investor relations, administrative, human resources and information technology functions. Most recently, Brent was the President of a national wealth management firm where he led the launch of the firm’s broker dealer and proprietary ’40 act fund. Prior to that, Brent was the CFO and COO for Grubb & Ellis|BRE Commercial in San Diego, one of Southern California’s leading privately-held commercial real estate brokerage firms. Brent has previously worked as Vice President, Finance and Operations at The MHA Group and Vice President, Accounting and Finance/Treasurer at NYSE-traded AMN Healthcare, where he was involved with the placement of more than $1 billion in debt and equity securities and led the company’s mergers and acquisitions practice. Brent started his career at Deloitte & Touche. Brent, a Certified Public Accountant graduated Cum Laude from the University of California, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Business Economics. Jennifer Barry

Jennifer Barry

Jennifer Barry, General Counsel, joined Pathfinder in 2012. Jennifer previously practiced real estate, securities and corporate law for 13 years with southern California law firms Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP, Hillyer & Irwin and as a sole practitioner. She has represented buyers, sellers and owners through purchases, sales, refinancing and leasing of commercial and multi-family properties. Earlier in her career, Jennifer spent three years with a national law firm prosecuting federal and state securities litigation class action lawsuits. She graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude, from Skidmore College and received her law degree from the University of Southern California.

Matt Quinn

Matt Quinn, Director, joined Pathfinder in 2009. Previously, he worked for Gateway Partners, Inc., a San Diego-based firm which consulted on mergers and acquisitions and with the Wealth Management division of Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. Matt received a B.A. in Business and Economics from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he was a four-year recipient of the Regents Scholarship, the University of California’s most prestigious scholarship award. He received an M.B.A from the Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego, where he was a recipient of the Patricia and Christopher Weil Fellowship Award.

Jeff Wurtz

Jeff Wurtz, Controller, began working with Pathfinder in 2010 and joined the team in a full-time capacity in 2012. Prior to joining Pathfinder, he worked as a CPA focused on real estate and technology clients. Previously, Jeff was the CFO of Lymabean.com, a college-based internet company, and Controller for Best Rate Funding, a mortgage banking company. Jeff has also been an adjunct college instructor for eight years teaching Accounting, Tax, Personal Finance and General Business courses. Jeff began his career at Deloitte and Touche. He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Brigham Young University.

Alexa Head

Alexa Head, Administrator, joined Pathfinder in 2011. From 2008 to 2011, she was a brokerage and research assistant at the Colliers International real estate brokerage office in Boise, Idaho. Alexa was on the logistics board for the Boise division of the March of Dimes March for Babies campaign, serving as board chair in 2011. Alexa graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in Managerial and Organizational Communications with an emphasis in Marketing and Public Relations in 2008.

Amanda Snyder

Amanda Snyder, Administrative Assistant, joined Pathfinder in 2012. Previously, Amanda was an intern with Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company as a campus ambassador and an event coordinator for the Fermanian Business and Economic Institute at Point Loma Nazarene University. Amanda graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a B.A. in Business Administration.

Tony O’Neill

Tony O'Neill

Tony O’Neill, Director of Acquisitions joined Pathfinder in 2012. Previously, Tony was a Vice President with Voit Real Estate Services, where he led a brokerage team focused exclusively on loan and real estate-owned (REO) transactions for the previous five years. Tony’s team closed over $175,000,000 in non-performing and sub-performing commercial loans and REO assets, working with clients ranging from private high-net-worth individuals to publicly traded REITs. Tony concluded four loan and REO transactions with Pathfinder from 2009 to 2011. Tony received a M.S. in Real Estate at the University of San Diego and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a licensed CA Real Estate Broker.

Jon Mesa

Jon Mesa

Jon Mesa, Acquisitions Analyst, joined Pathfinder in 2012. Previously, he spent two years as a financial analyst for Voit Real Estate Services’ O’Neill & Askew Team, which specialized in distressed note and asset sales in California, Arizona and Nevada. Jon also has previous experience in equity analysis and completed a summer internship with the International Swaps and Derivatives Association in Hong Kong. Jon graduated from the University of Oregon in 2010 with a B.S., double-majoring in Business Administration and Economics.
